Hello All,

It was a perfect night on McCulloch Blvd. The crowds were small but very positive. The stage was set outside on McCulloch Blvd. Main Street,  where 16 songwriters waited eagerly to play their one song in hope to be Lake Havasu Songwriter of the Year. Then the aw of the crowd when Sebastian Bonfils open his mouth and his inspiring words and soulful  sound filled the dark air, you could hear a pin drop in the audience. I watched one woman wiping a tear from her eye! The talent continued one by one with the only concern, why were more people not here? Some may say it was a population contest where others never knew of the talent that lives in this great town, but I was proud to have put this on, it was like my own children being heard for the first time! The Lake Havasu Sponsor were so kind to have given so much that they will never know what they did for these brave souls, allowing each and every person to hear their very private words. These are the long lost Songwriters in this world and sometimes they choose to hide behind their talent, but that night they stepped out on stage with the same hope I had, saving music & arts in this community. For everyone that didn't make it to the event will you make sure you take the time to send K-12 Foundation a donation to be used for  music and arts? My event only made $3,000 for the organization but gave the Songwriters a chance to showcase their talents. I ask that everyone young, old, black, white or other to walk with me in this adventure to save music & arts! This is the perfect venue for Lake Havasu City, showing the world that we care and that someday we will have all the money in the schools that appeal to each and every talent our children have!

We plan for many changes next year to this event and I will continue as long as I get support from all the amazing sponsor and volunteers.
